In 2007, John and Irene Lingenfelter became proprietors of JIL Ink Studios. They completed the construction of their 1500 square foot printmaking studio and press facility in the hills of New River, Arizona.
JIL Ink Studios was created not only as a personal artist’s studio but also to promote professional education in the fine art of printmaking in a non-toxic environment.
The studio is the home of the Bare Naked Press Company, which was founded the same year. Our mission is to manufacture a quality-made, affordable etching press for the individual studio artist or educational institution.
